Katahdin Region Public Schools
The public schools of the Katahdin Region offer academic and social programs
that are among the best in the state. East Millinocket and Medway are served
jointly by Schenck High School, while students from Millinocket attend Stearns
High School. With strong assessment
scores and exceptionally
low drop out rates, the Region's public schools offer a well-educated
and motivated workforce.
The Education Network of Maine
Located in the center of the Katahdin Regional
Industrial Park, the Katahdin Region Higher Education Center of the University
College offers on site training for area workers and provides courses from the College and Eastern
Maine Technical College. Many courses are offered remotely through the ITV Network, however, The University of Maine and Eastern Technical College campuses are located a short drive from the Katahdin area in the Cities of Orono and Bangor.

They'll find the people, put together programs at local training institutes and educational facilities and help support the funding of training in concert with the State's very attractive Quality Center Program.
Maine's Quality Center initiative
offers 100% state-financed training programs for business-specific training.
Operated in co-operation with the state's technical college system, new or
existing business expansions can apply at no cost.
